THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (Title 32), Position Description Number D1819000 and is part of the IL 182 AW, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
- The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades : Enlisted Only - Minimum rank requirement of Senior Master Sergeant/E8 and May not exceed the rank of Chief Master Sergeant/E9.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-12 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; specialized experience includes experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs; experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers; experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found; experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field; experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: GS-12 LEVEL - MUST possess experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
