Description:
Incumbent performs tasks with several steps or sequence of tasks such as: sets up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, hot and cold food service stands. Serves food cafeteria style to diners. Set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed. Maintain concept environment, equipment, utensils and surfaces in a sanitary clean and neat condition. Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements:

A qualified candidate possesses the following:
- Understanding of basic food handling techniques
- Ability to follow oral directions and routine manual tasks involving a few steps
- Must have understanding of personal hygiene standards such as wearing a hairnet and washing hands before touching food and not touching rims of cups/glasses
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and material such as schedules, menus, and recipes
- Must have the ability to work safely by moving carts without running into things, stacking dishes without mishaps, and wiping up spilled foods and liquids to prevent falls
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic may be necessary
