Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: operations and/or maintenance of navigation facilities; experience at a navigation project; knowledge of navigation operating components such as lock gates and culvert valves, discharge/intake systems; and experience in a lead or supervisory position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
