THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist (Title 32) (Permanent), Position Description Number D1651P01 and is part of the VA 192 ITL SQ, National Guard.

WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Member (E5/SSgt - E9/CMSgt) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member (E5/SSgt - E9/CMSgt) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard.
Military Grades : Enlisted Member (E5/SSgt - E9/CMSgt)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Applicant must have experience serving as a first level supervisor over a group of Intelligence Operations Specialists.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicant must you have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the assigned technicians, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Experience exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Experience coordinating with a variety of counterparts and higher-level officials in the gaining command and in a large segment of the defense sector of the intelligence community.
- Experience serving as a member of a Distributed Ground System (DGS) ISR unit crew performing specialized intelligence duties as a Distributed Ground Station (DGS) ISR unit crewmember.
