Description:
Performs daily housekeeping duties which includes dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming and/or sweeping, cleaning/sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen area, trash removal, making beds and removing/changing bedding, restocking of amenities, bed and bath linens and other supplies, checking condition of room assets and reporting problems to supervisor and responding to guest requests.Requirements:
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals, including familiarity with applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Ability to utilize Property Management System (PMS) and/or Point of Sale (POS) system software to update room status using the in-room telephone system.
- Ability to safely and properly use common hand and power tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing with management, staff and guests.
- This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts.
- Lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds
- May be required to possess valid driver's license as travel to other facilities within normal scope of duties may be required.
- Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping and lifting is required.
