Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Nuclear Engineer in the Nuclear Material Ordering Branch (2305.3), Nuclear Material Division (2305) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience utilizing nuclear engineering principles and practices applicable to the engineering duties of the Nuclear Material Division, including planning for work, preparing engineering work instructions, and reviewing engineering work done by subordinates.
  • Experience furnishing engineering direction for ordering, inspecting and approving naval nuclear material.
  • Experience reviewing, coordinating and exercising technical control of all material and equipment for the modification and overhaul of systems directly associated with the reactor plant of nuclear powered submarine.
  • Experience incorporating new requirements into shipyard work, as dictated by the most recent technical changes to material specifications.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing detailed technical documentations.
