This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office.The primary purpose of this position is to oversee CWMD's information security program and ensuring the agency's information systems
and data are secure in compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 (FISMA), related OMB directives, and other applicable federal cybersecurity requirements.
Non-BU : This is a non-bargaining unit position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in Federal service or equivalent private/public sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an Information Security Program in compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, organizational directives, and other federal regulations; AND
- Oversee information security risk management process, including conducting risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending risk mitigation strategies; AND
- Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and integration of cybersecurity technologies, ensuring they meet security needs and comply with federal security frameworks.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
