You will serve as a CIVIL ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL) within the Planning, Design and Construction Directorate of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.Requirements:
To qualify for the GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a professional civil engineer at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working alongside other structural/civil engineers to provide structural engineering products, services, and consultation for facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance; 2) Completing structural engineering assignments in accordance with specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards; and 3) Developing designs and analyses utilizing structural engineering software. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume.To qualify for the GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a professional civil engineer at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing professional structural engineering products, services, and consultation with facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance; 2) Ensuring planning, design, and construction are completed in accordance with specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards; 3) Performing design analyses and calculations for structural projects; and 4) Developing complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced structural engineering software.
