FOOD SERVICE WORKER (CASHIER)

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to FREDS Cafe, inside of Eagle Lanes Bowling Center, on Dover Air Force Base.

As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and beverage, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Experience in the operation of a cash register, direct handling of cash items, and cash accountability is desired. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check w/Inquiries (NACI). Must be at least 21 years old.
