About the Position: Carlisle Barracks is an installation at the center of the Army and Department of Defense Senior Leadership educational programs. This historic post supports missions such as the U.S. Army War College, including the Center for Strategic Leadership, Strategic Studies Institute and USAWC Press, U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center, and Dunham U.S. Army Health Clinic, Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute, and the Installation Management Command.Requirements:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) developing policy and operational guidelines affecting all aspects of operations; 2 ) developing methods to evaluate the effectiveness of operations; 3 ) advising international students on the suitability of language skills, rank, and professional background; 4) working directly with high-level foreign and domestic government Agencies, officials, civilians, and military officers as both students and guests; 5) Overseeing broad organizational and management strategies in program management and administration,community outreach, student services, and family support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
