Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is generally sedentary in nature. Typically, the employee sits comfortably in an office environment, with some lifting, bending, walking, carrying of office items, and potentially transport of heavy boxes in evidence. Although the work is generally sedentary, it may involve prolonged periods of physical and mental stress. Mobility is required since frequent visits to review, inspect, and investigate at various sites, DoD/DON offices, and off-site installations are necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is primarily performed in a typical office setting; however, when out of the office, the incumbent's work environment is reflective of the subject or target review's environment. Field work may require the incumbent to visit secluded administrative and/or production areas. The incumbent may on occasion be required to work under hazardous conditions in areas of changing climatic conditions, both indoors and outdoors, aboard ship, station, or aircraft. Poor environmental conditions may be encountered (i.e., paint shops, sand blast areas, etc.), safety gear may be required (i.e., hard hat, grounding spurs, ear protectors, safety glasses, steel toe boots, etc.) or other moderate hazards encountered. IG visits are seldom welcome, so the incumbent may be exposed to periods of isolation or be ostracized. Work may require frequent travel away from the normal, assigned duty station.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
