About the Position: Serves as a Health System Specialist (Physical Evaluation Board Liaison) performing duties in support of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. This position is located with the Keller Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF West Point, NY.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. advising personnel on benefits processes; 2. scheduling appointments pertaining to medical evaluations; and 3. providing assistance throughout phases of medical evaluation process.
The OPM Qualification Standard provides the following examples: Progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:
- Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems;
- Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and
- Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement.
OR
Education : Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. Combination of Education and Experience : A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
