You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Office of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience implementing knowledge of environmental protection concepts, regulations and practices of State, Federal, and Local statutes, with a primary emphasis on waste management, disposal, collection and proper storage.
- Experience applying principles and concepts of sampling procedures.
- Experience implementing knowledge of rigging regulations for transferring waste in various size containers and of plumbing to execute discharge and collection lines for pumps, tanks, and trailers.
- Experience reading blueprints, construction drawings, schematics and house interface systems.
- Experience using math to compute weights, volumes, mass, percentages and cost.
- Experience driving forklifts.
