This vacancy is for a GS-0560-13, Budget Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, ASSET LOGISTICS DIVISION. Duty location is Norfolk, VA.Requirements:
Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include the following:
- Compiling, consolidating, reviewing, analyzing, and editing budget estimates; evaluating data submitted for consistency with previous estimates, current levels of program operations, and anticipated changes in funding; revising data, as necessary, for inclusion in budget reports and schedules furnished to agency headquarters
- Reviewing requests for allotments of funds; analyzing budgetary and financial data plans submitted by program managers for consistency with financial plans, policies, and timetables
- Preparing analyses and justifications of requests for allotments of funds available in the budget.
