You will serve as a Supervisory Materials Engineer within the Materials & Industrial Engineering Department, located within the Fleet Support Team (FST) at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSWFLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Materials Engineering Experience in the specialty areas of, but not limited to, metals & ceramics, non-destructive inspection, chemical processes, polymer & composites, analytical chemistry and corrosion & wear; 2) Supervises, manages, and technically directs materials engineering processes and resources; 3) Apply creative thinking and experienced judgment to solve a variety of highly complex technical problems; 4) Make critical decisions on problems/concerns which impact major air vehicle engineering systems and to advise senior program officials; 5) Think and speak clearly, present ideas (both orally and in writing), and the ability to meet and effectively negotiate with various program managers within NAVAIR, the fleet, other government agencies, private industry, and foreign dignitaries.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
