These Laborer (MVO) positions are located in the Trails Maintenance Branch at Acadia National Park and will engage in all aspects of trail maintenance, construction, and repair.The typical seasonal period is early May through early November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2025.

- Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints)
- Ability To Use and Maintain tools and Equipment
- Dexterity and Safety
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT): Have knowledge and experience constructing and maintaining trails and a wide variety of trail related features. Have constructed and maintained log and/or rock water bars, dips or swales, culverts, drystone retaining walls, trail foot bridges, and tread surfaces. Have experience using and maintaining the appropriate tools for this job. Have operated small loaders, tractors, or ATVs for trails similar tasks. Have the ability to carry out routine trail work assignments competently with little supervision.
