GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1. Designing electronic and mechanical test devices in support of engineering operations, with experience in nuclear radiation physics.
2. Instructing personnel in the use of a neutron generator.
3. Advising personnel in radiation safety.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Setting up, calibrating, and operating mechanical/electronic/nucleonic equipment {such as a neutron generator (2.5MeV or 4MeV)} in support of engineering operations.
2. Developing solutions to engineering design issues.
3. Handling radioactive material in accordance with nuclear guidelines.
