To qualify for this Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-7 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-5 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

1. Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with organizational stakeholders as it relates to emergency disaster programs;
2. Applying fact-finding techniques to research and validate data; and
3. Assisting with writing analytical reports or summaries.

OR
1 full year of graduate level education;

OR
Superior academic achievement

OR
Combination of education and experience.

1. Assisting in the management of disaster assistance operations or programs;
2. Providing assistance on process improvements practices; and
3. Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to achieve organizational goals .

Master's or equivalent graduate degree;

OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;

OR
LL.B. or J.D.

OR
Combination of education and experience.
