Description:

Who may apply: Current, permanent DFAS employees in the competitive service, and current DFAS VRA employees in the local commuting area, and eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference applicants.

This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-09, or GS-11 with a target grade of GS-11. The minimum salary for grade GS-09 is $63,768, the maximum salary is $82,897. The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $77,154, the maximum salary is $100,295.

Requirements:

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07 for the GS-09 level and GS-09 for the GS-11 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

For GS-09: Specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level is defined as: performing financial management data analysis; creating recommendations for business process improvements; and providing customer support for an automated accounting or financial management system.

For GS-11: Specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level is defined as: planning, scheduling and conducting reviews and evaluations on financial management data analysis; analyzing issues or problems, selecting and applying appropriate analytical techniques and methods in order to recommend solutions or improvements to organizational functions.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
  • To be considered for the GS-09, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher in the Federal service.
  • To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher in the Federal service.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
