Description:
This position is in the Response and Recovery, Response Directorate, Assistant Administrator, Office of Emerging Threats. The ideal candidate for this position will effectively oversee a technical staff of three or more individuals specialized in atmospheric and water modeling. They will manage the CBRN common operating and sharing platform and have oversight of a Federal interagency body comprising the Nuclear/Radiological Incident Task Force and Nuclear Incident Response Team.

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Analyzing risk analysis reports, technical guidance and plans related to emerging threats; AND
- Enhancing or developing operational support capabilities to inform an effective response to threats before or during an incident response at the strategic level; AND
- Developing and enhancing teams at the Federal interagency level by effective listening, verbal, and written communications.
