Description:

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Information Technology Management (INFOSEC), (OPM) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: These are permanent positions with the United States Accessions Command, United States Army Recruiting Battalion.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: providing customer support and technical assistance in a variety of IT equipment to include hardware, software and telecommunications systems.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

IN ADDITION to possessing one year of specialized experience, applicants must demonstrate the following competencies: (1) Attention to Detail- Attentive and thorough in completing Information Technology tasks and projects; (2) Customer Service- Work with Information Technology clients and customers to assess their needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction; (3) Oral Communication- Communicate Information Technology information and ideas in speaking so others will understand; and (4) Problem Solving- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
