Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Fabric Worker (Tailoring) without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform normal shortening/lengthening sleeves/hems, blind stich hems on trousers and slacks. I can alter the waist/hip measurements of trousers/slacks/skirts. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Effort: The work requires standing at work tables to mark, measure and cut materials; stooping, bending and kneeling to fit individuals; and sitting for long periods to machine and hand sew the uniforms. Continued use of arms, hand and fingers are required to position the clothing and use various hand and machine tools.
- Working Conditions: Work is performed in shops or other enclosed areas which are adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The employee is subject to cuts, bruises, needles punctures, scratches and other minor injuries or irritations from handling sharp tools and treated materials. The work involves exposure to dust and lint from fabrics, fumes and odors from glues and cleaners, and noise from sewing machines.
