Description:
The position serves as the Deputy Facilities Manager, Supreme Court Buildings and Grounds. The incumbent collaborates with the Executive Director of Facilities Operations in planning, administering, and managing the maintenance, repair and construction activities of the Supreme Court of the United States Building and Grounds and the facilities comprising the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building (TMFJB). Serves as the full Deputy in the incumbent’s absence.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Candidates for the GS-15 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as having experience that demonstrates all of the following: (1) Providing supervision, leadership and guidance to support the growth and development of professional and facility operations staff; (2) Providing executive management skills in the coordination of complex infrastructure/systems, to include development, design, testing, construction, operation, and commissioning; (3) Exercising project control (ex., scheduling, resources, trades) in the execution of construction and renovation programs (4) Establishing and executing annual programs that provide for the timely maintenance and care of building assets; (5) Representing an organization on policy and technical matters at high-level conferences and meetings concerning impacts on normal buildings operations; and (6) Developing and executing actions to meet strategic goals.
