Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position at this position.
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
- As a Human Resource professional in a large organization, experience in providing supervisory/managerial advisory services to management in areas such as labor management relations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, staffing, classification and compensation, position control, performance evaluation and incentive awards program, time and attendance, leave administration, and employee development.
- Experience in interpreting and applying personnel practices to ensure departmental compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Experience developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative relationships with the union representatives in the development of personnel policies, practices, and procedures which affect conditions of employment and attributes to the effective operation of the facility.
