Description:

The Membership Manager will report to the Head of Audience Development in the Visitor Experience department and will collaborate with many stakeholders across the National Gallery, including but not limited to development, communications, digital experience, retail, dining, and other departments as needed.

Requirements:

OPM Qualifications Standard :

Individual Occupational Requirements: None. Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301

Group Qualification Standard: Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions

Specialized Experience Statement:

Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-09 level in the Federal service, implementing member and donation programs for a museum or cultural institution.

OR

a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

LL.M., if related

OR

Combination of Education and Experience as indicated in the Group Qualification Standard for Administrative & Management Positions

NOTE: Education can be substituted in lieu of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level. Please see the requirements under Qualifications

  • Gift Programs - Knowledge of National Gallery of Art protocol, policies, procedures sufficient to perform gift related tasks.
  • Program Management – Ability to manage all aspects of a membership program.
