Description:

The Ideal Candidate has experience advising leadership regarding policy and programmatic issues and projects within the tribal community. This position will serve as FEMA Region Two subject matter expert and primary point-of-contact for the Tribal communities within Region Two.

To qualify for this Public Affairs Specialist position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  1. Creating and disseminating multimedia products for targeted audiences;
  2. Providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders to improve work processes; and
  3. Developing written and oral communication utilizing various software applications such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel.
