You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER in the COMMAND ELEMENT of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.Requirements:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1)Administering specialized safety sub-programs such as hazardous material control and management, confined space entry, laser safety, recreation and off duty safety, electrical safety, training safety and respiratory protection; 2) Managing the development, administration, and coordination of all facets of the command's contract safety program management; 3) Preparing, justifying, and administering the Command safety budget with financial planning responsibility for Command safety program needs; 4) Managing and assessing the effectiveness of health and safety programs and practices designed to prevent injury to personnel and loss of property in the industrial work environment; 5) Reviewing plans, designs, and specifications for operations and facilities to identify proper hazardous controls.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
