You will serve as a Lead Contract Specialist in the Data Business Systems Branch (C435) within the Policy and Compliance Division (Code 431), Policy & Support (Code 430), in the Contracts (CCO) Department (Code 400) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.Requirements:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience in contract law and legal precedents as it relates to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS), or similar.
- Experience with extensive knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, cost accounting systems, and contractor claims avoidance and settlement techniques as the apply to naval vessel repair or similar.
- Experience reviewing contractor proposals, managing contract modifications, and overseeing contractor performance.
- Experience training and/or coaching employees on contract policy.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures for contract administration.
