Description:

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.

Requirements:

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

For the CP-10 you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-09/GS-11 level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience consists of: 1) maintaining all aspects of a HR system and reporting; 2) troubleshooting and testing a HR system and providing relevant feedback; 3) developing and interpreting data extracts and reports from an automated HR system; 4) gathering information from HRIS users and key stakeholders to recommend improvements; and 5) staying current on industry trends and regulations to ensure systems are continuously optimized to meet business requirements.

For the CP-11 you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-10/GS-12 level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience consists of: 1) overseeing optimal function of a HRIS system and identifying processes that may need improvement; 2) producing HRIS reports, statistical information, and dashboards to support decision-making and performance metrics; 3) managing execution of HRIS projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, scope and serving as the lead and liaison between internal and external stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects; 4) resolving operating issues and processing bottlenecks and implementing changes that improve user experience with systems; and 5) creating or updating job aids, standard operating procedures, and user documentation on updated system functionality.
