Requirements:

To qualify for the Lead Quality Assurance Specialist, PU - 1910 - 11/12 , you must meet the following requirements:

TO QUALIFY FOR THE PG-11
- Incumbent must have at least one year of specialized experience at the PG-9 or equivalent grade level or higher in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I dentifying, preventing and correcting defects in printed materials in a manufacturing environment.

OR

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study such as: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study such as: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR LL.M., if related

OR

Combination of specialized experience and education that equals 100 percent.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE PG-12;
Incumbent must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the PG-11 or equivalent grade level or higher in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying, preventing and correcting defects in printed materials in a manufacturing environment and analyzing data to identify quality trends and opportunities for process improvements. NOTE: There is not substitution for education in lieu of specialized experience at the PG 12 grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
