The Information Technology Specialist (DevOps Engineer) position is in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Department of Technology Services, Cloud Hosting and Networks Office (CHNO). CHNO delivers centrally hosted computing services for Judiciary-wide case management, administration, infrastructure, and messaging applications, as well as local court systems, and applications hosted at national data centers.Requirements:
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.Specialized Experience : Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in ALL of the following:
Cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including hands-on experience with cloud services, architectures, and deployment models.
Designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions, considering performance, availability, and cost-optimization factors. This includes an in-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards applicable to government organizations with the ability to ensure adherence to security policies and mitigate risks in cloud environments.
Organizational change management tailored to transitioning from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure, including strategic guidance, resistance mitigation, and alignment with business objectives.
Desired, but not required: Applicants who have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
