To qualify for the Electrician, KE -2805-00, you must meet the following requirements:To minimally qualify for the KE-2805-00 level, you must meet the requirement below: Applicants must meet Screen Out/Job Element #1: Ability to do the work of an Electrician KE-2805-00 without more than normal supervision:
Typical duties include: 1) Planning, creating lays out, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic circuits and component systems to the component level.
2) Replacing devices and equipment such as resistors, capacitors, relays, timers, integrated circuits, disc drivers, hard drives, SIMS, silicon control rectifiers, frequency modulated drives, microprocessor-based components, and other solid state & modular component.
3) Possessing experience working with Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), other microprocessor-based systems, and multi-tasked automated processing systems. Examples of systems/controls are but are not limited to Control Logix, Siemens-S7, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and various building automation controls.
In addition to the above SCREENOUT: GPO applicants must have the following pursuant to GPO MPP Appendix A: (1) completed a formal, recognized apprenticeship or GPO journeyperson training program, or possess substantially equivalent practical experience in the trade of the vacant position.
(2) at least 1 year of journeyperson experience after completion of the above . (3) served a minimum of 1 year in a career or career-conditional appointment in the GPO; OR (1) a baccalaureate degree or 3 years of responsible experience in the printing industry equivalent to, at a minimum, the GPO journeyperson level. (2) 2 years of experience in the printing industry of a scope and quality sufficient to carry out the duties of the vacant position, 1 year of which must have been at or comparable to the GS-12 level. (3) served a minimum of 1 year in a career or career-conditional appointment in the GPO."
