THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a Aircraft Flight Instructor (Title 32) (Permanent), Position Description Number D0610000 and is part of the VA AASF, National Guard.
Requirements:

WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Warrant Officers (W2/CW2 - W4/CW4) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Warrant Officers (W2/CW2 - W4/CW4) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Army National Guard
Military Grades : Warrant Officers (W2/CW2 - W4/CW4)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Applicant must have at least 1500 flight hours, must be qualified as an Army Flight Instructor, and have experience being responsible for providing instruction, evaluation and examination of rated pilots, instructor pilots and aeroscout observers in flying techniques and methods of instruction, examination and evaluation.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicant must have at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience in planning Performs routine operational flight assignments.
- Experience and competency in conducting refresher, mission and continuation training in light fixed wing or utility and observer helicopters.
- Experience in adjusting course material to meet individual needs.
- Experience in training pilots in basic and advanced techniques required to support the Pilot's unit mission.
