Who May Apply: U.S. CitizensApplicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree.
Quantico, VA- 0368 Teacher, World Language (American Sign Language) - A bachelor's degree or higher in any academic discipline area. A minimum of 18 semester hours of American Sign Language course work is required. Course work should include Foundations of Education of the D/HH: History Trends and Culture, The linguistics of American Sign Language, Methods of Teaching ASL, ASL Level IV: Proficiency in American Sign Language or other equivalent American Sign Language course work. Preference given to candidates with a certification from the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA), and/or successfully completing the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI). An unencumbered professional teaching license in content area or its state equivalent will be considered to have fulfilled these requirements.
