THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION

DUTY LOCATION:
103d Air Control Squadron (ACS), Orange, CT

AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 1:
All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the CTANG.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the CTANG.
Area 3: Individuals eligible for membership in the CTANG. Membership must be satisfied within four (4) months of selection.

Requirements:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
  • Experience, education, or training arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight.
  • Experience in non-routine pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers.
  • Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge and skill in weapons control as well as in airspace and data link management.
  • Knowledge of surveillance and data equipment; activities; surveillance situation analysis; detection, tracking, reporting, display, and dissemination of air situation, and tactical threat information is implied.
  • Ability to monitor multiple stations simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Air Battle Manager concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of crew operations and missions of supported units.
  • Ability to work in a highly stressful, quick reaction environment and to train others to work in such an environment.
  • Knowledge and skill in oral and written communication techniques and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the full performance level knowledge and skills as an Air Surveillance Officer (ASO) and Air Weapons Officer (AWO).
  • Knowledge of the methods of instruction and training concepts and practices and the skill and ability to apply this knowledge to provide crew and ground training that maintains the highest level of combat mission-ready proficient crew members.
  • Knowledge of radar operation fundamentals, characteristics, and limitations of airborne warning C2, surveillance, and mission systems.
  • Knowledge of and skill in surveillance, target detection and tracking, reporting, receiving, displaying, recording and relaying threat data.
  • Knowledge and capability to comprehend, plan, coordinate and apply communications methods and analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of and skill in reading and interpreting computer-generated console situations and tabular displays, electronically generated data and air tasking orders.
  • Knowledge of and skill in ECM and ECCM functions.
  • Knowledge and skills of operating radar, data link, and communications systems requirements.
  • Knowledge of mission planning activities and the knowledge and skill to interpret ATO's and SPINS
  • Knowledge of and skill in emergency procedures and equipment.
  • Knowledge of publications maintenance as pertains to mission crew positions.
  • Knowledge of theater ground and air activities.
  • Knowledge of and skills on EA/EP procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) organizations, programs, missions, functions and policies to be able to integrate the units operations into those of the active duty supported units.
  • Ability to work as a BMC2 crew team member or team leader and effectively coordinate with other team members.
  • Knowledge of inter-operability and integration of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence is a requirement.
  • Ability to be instructor qualified, mission ready crewmember in unit.
  • Knowledge and skill to perform supervisory duties and responsibilities as required.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.
