Role: Floor Controller (Data Center Operations)
Location: Jersey City NJ (Onsite)

Required skills
Installation, migration and demise of IT equipment within Data Centres (To 5 years)
Understanding of underpinning M&E relating to critical facilities (UPS, generators, RPPs etc)
Awareness of service management techniques including Problem, Change and Incident management
Understanding of data network and cabling technologies, principles and products
Working knowledge of Aperture, CMS and GSD
General overview as to how a computer room floor is laid out and how modern server, storage and network infrastructure is integrated.
Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
An awareness of IT hardware, software, operations and networks.
A track record of overseeing delivery of complex programmes and projects;
Proven technical awareness in an IT role
Awareness of risk management
Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
Be able to enforce the quality policies and processes.
PC / Office skills (ServiceNOW Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
Data Centres are major sites which include highly sensitive and critical data processing areas, office areas and complex engineering systems.
The job holder ensures that the floor management teams maintain essential data centre floor environmental and technical standard conditions at all times and make fast and accurate assessments of issues without reference to line management.
The importance of the services supported by the Data Centres dictates that the work undertaken within the processing areas is performed under relevant change control procedures as required and is managed to reduce the risk of any Impact to the business. It is crucial that works in these areas is completed in a proficient manner, which contributes to maintaining the Integrity of services at all times.
