Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong technical background and expertise in analyzing business requirements, designing system solutions, and implementing automation. This individual will play a key role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution while also taking ownership of production deployments and process improvements in the data ingestion pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, user stories, and other business documentation.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements for existing systems and processes
• Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, system workflows, and functional specifications (BRD, FRD, SRS).
• Understand mainframe concepts (Copybook, Cobol files)
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Cloud Deployment:
• Oversee and manage the cloud deployment of data ingestion solutions in DEV/SIT/PAT and Production environments.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations) to ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
• Support system integrations and data migrations between cloud and on-premises environments Process Improvement & Automation:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization in the data ingestion pipeline.
• Implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to design and optimize data workflows, ensuring scalable and reliable data pipelines. Collaboration with Technical Teams:
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and Operations teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of new solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the team in resolving complex issues.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data architecture and pipeline optimization. Testing & Quality Assurance:
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and technical specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for deployed solutions, workflows, and process improvements.
• Generate and present reports on key metrics and the performance of data pipelines and automation efforts. Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and process modeling
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and automation strategies
• Expertise in documenting business workflows, data flow diagrams, and system interactions.
• Solid understanding of business systems analysis and the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.]
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, ETL processes, and automation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and data engineering tools (DataBricks, Data Factory, etc.).
• Experience with deployment processes, version control, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins and GitLab
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to drive process improvement initiatives and work collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional Qualifications:
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools like JIRA, Confluence
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.
• Hands-on experience with logging, monitoring, and cloud governance tools.
