Job Details

Title: Information Security Generalist

Location: Northeast Region (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract

Description:
* The Information Security Generalist will be responsible for the implementation and engineering of various security initiatives.
* This role involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure security solutions align with organizational policies and standards.
* The position also requires maintaining and monitoring security systems, enforcing configuration standards, and automating security processes.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and be able to respond effectively to security incidents.

Required Skills:
* Experience in security engineering, system and network security, authentication protocols, and incident response.
* Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, such as single sign-on and authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, MFA).
* Hands-on experience securing cloud environments and resources, including virtual machines, storage, load balancing, and network gateways.
* Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as DNS and DHCP.
* Expertise in security event management platforms, log analysis, and dashboard creation.
* Ability to effectively communicate security concerns to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience developing and implementing best practice security configurations for systems and network devices.
* Ability to manage enterprise-level security projects and handle multiple tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in writing security standards, guidelines, and procedure documentation.
* Scripting and automation experience using programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
* Knowledge of security compliance requirements, risk management practices, and industry frameworks such as NIST, CSA, and CIS.

Desired Skills:
* Experience with infrastructure as code tools for cloud security management.
* Familiarity with security automation processes, including account discovery and system hardening.
* Understanding of security monitoring best practices and experience creating security reports and metrics.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $56.35-$80.50 Per HR
