Job Details

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

 

Our client is looking for a Incident Manager to work on critical incidents/events relating to various IT technology.

Tasks
  • Quickly create, escalate, triage and track customer technology related incidents.
  • Utilize graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services.
  • Monitor mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance.
  • May assist with the review/validation of mainframe job control language
  • Perform deliveries as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

 

NOTE: This position is 100% on-site. There is not a work from home option. Applicants could be requested to work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts.

 

Location: Pontiac, MI (100% on-site)

Contract: 9+ months

 

Skills Required:
  • 3+ years - Experience as a Service Desk or in an Incident Management role
  • 3 years- Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • 3 years - Experience creating, escalating, triaging and tracking customer technology related incidents
  • 3 years - Experience utilizing graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services

 

Skills Desired – A plus to have:
  • 3 years - Experience reviewing/validating mainframe job control language,
  • 3 years - Experience monitoring mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance
