Job Details
For our direct client, a prestigious global firm, we seek a Cyber Security Analyst for a long-term (6 mo+) contract position. This is a hybrid position with three days remote, two days onsite in midtown New York City.. Two days onsite can be flexible and are recap/catch up days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help draft security standards and guidelines, and document complex security issues.
- Attend security clearance meetings, to understand projects that are in-flight and standards that need to be written
- Run a process to get security standards reviewed and published
- Ensure routine system reviews are conducted on assigned systems.
- Keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations
- Ensuring fulfillment of legal and contractual information security and privacy mandates, including providing executive management with compliance reports and audit findings
Skills and Experience Desired:
- Looking for someone 3-5 years of experience, manager is also open to college grads that are eager to jump in and provide support.
- Ability to learn and translate team feedback into technical documents and standards.
- The information systems security analyst must be knowledgeable of information technology security principles, as well as common office technology tools.
- Multitasking and excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Will need to able to have problem solving skills, support project work, consolidate team feedback into technical writing.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with two or more years of systems and network security experience. Industry certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or the CompTIA Security+, are also sought.
