Responsibilities
- Focus on developing, implementing, and optimizing the revenue cycle management (RCM) systems within the client's modernized electronic health record (EHR).
- Work collaboratively with teams responsible for financial data capture, claims management, and revenue optimization for healthcare services delivered globally.
- Lead architecture and engineering analysis for revenue cycle capabilities, ensuring robust integration with functional systems across billing, coding, claims processing, and financial data reporting.
- Develop strategic plans for RCM process automation, improving billing efficiency, and optimizing revenue capture to maximize reimbursement.
- Manage teams implementing revenue cycle capabilities using formal design techniques, including data flow diagrams and financial reporting standards, while enhancing operational efficiency.
- Evaluate existing revenue cycle components to refine workflows, reduce errors, and streamline cost structures.
- Lead development and integration lifecycle management efforts, focusing on stable, high-performing RCM applications.
- Support systems architecture design, data exchange protocols, and lifecycle management specific to RCM, with a focus on automation, risk management, and electronic financial analysis.
- Deliver briefings and communications with senior leadership on the impact of engineering enhancements within RCM systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work Authorization: ship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle engineering within a large enterprise IT environment, with a focus on financial and claims management.
- Strong background in engineering lifecycle management for revenue cycle IT infrastructure.
- Experience in project management, budget forecasting, and resource allocation for RCM-related projects.
- Experience working with electronic medical records and revenue cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Virtual health experience.
- Experience with EHR and revenue cycle system integration.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare claims systems, medical billing, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management methodologies, particularly in financial systems.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline architecture, particularly as applied to financial and claims processing systems.
- Experience with Cerner revenue cycle solutions or similar systems, including claim adjudication processes and patient accounting functions.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
