Description:
You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER (TEAM LEAD) in the Commander Fleet Readiness Centers, Quality Assurance Safety & Regulatory Compliance Group.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:- Providing policy, direction, executive level correspondence and briefs to COMFRC and FRCs to ensure consistency and adherence to safety standards;
- Developing COMFRC OSH policies and coordinates FRC review and comment of internal and external directives, instructions and guidance;
- Analyzing internal and external metrics, audits, hazard analysis and process control methods and creates executive level reports to identify and communicate adverse FRC safety trends, best practices and systemic issues;
- Monitoring violations detected and issued to the FRCs, mishap reports and citations for common safety causal factors and provides leadership with solutions and plans ahead;
- Assessing industrial audits and process control methods for adequacy, systemic issues and best practices.
Individual Occupational Requirements
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
