Description:

The selectee for this position will serve as a MACHINIST SUPERVISOR I in Shop 31A,31D, 31F, and 31T Mechanical Division (TRF-320), Repair Department ( TRF-300)of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

The Ability to Lead or Supervise :
  • Experience planning weekly work schedules to be accomplished by shop subordinates.
  • Experience providing technical direction over work efforts of subordinates to ensure efficient and effective accomplishment of submarine operations.
  • Experience leading conferences and job site consultation with work leaders to resolve work problems.
  • Experience ensuring that material and equipment are available.
  • Experience reviewing work while in progress and upon completion.
  • Experience explaining work requirements, methods, and procedures to subordinates.
  • Experience providing help to mechanics or work leaders in accomplishing difficult tasks and processes.
  • Experience measuring machinery equipment.
  • Experience dismantling, moving, relocating, and installing various types of submarine and shipboard machinery.
