Description:

You will serve as the Public Works Business Line Leader in the Operations Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic.

Requirements:

This position has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you MUST provide a copy of your current registration with your application. Note - a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date on it will not serve to verify this requirement.

In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) overseeing and coordinating a Public Works Business Line or similar enterprise, including engineering services such as facility energy management, facilities condition assessments, facility certification (e.g., boilers, vertical transportation equipment/elevators, back flow preventers, unfired pressure vessels, and weight handling equipment), and production management services (e.g., specification/task order development, facility support contract inspections, preventative maintenance program management, and integrated project list management); 2) overseeing and coordinating facilities sustainment and services such as fixed price projects, building, utilities production, utilities operations, facilities/utilities repair & construction, recurring/preventive maintenance, and emergency services; 3) managing facilities support contracts; 4) ensuring adherence to program policies, processes, and practices; and 5) managing diverse groups of trades/technical/professional personnel to accomplish the execution of high profile programs/missions.
