You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ SCIENTIST RF ANTENNA TEST AND EVALUATION SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT in the MISSION SYSTEMS T&E DEPT; DEPT INTEROP NTWKS & ADV TECHN EVAL T&E DIV of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Knowledge of systems engineering and techniques for management of RF and antennas development support efforts- Extensive knowledge of airborne antenna concepts, RF concepts, operational capabilities/limitations and the ability to recommend how they should be employed by fleet users. The incumbent must be able to assess performance requirements against operational requirements and accurately provide mission relation.
- Knowledge of the Naval Test Wing Atlantic policies, processes, and operating procedures in the areas of test planning, test execution, test reporting, and test management.
- Knowledge of antenna systems performance in the frequency bands 2 MHz to 18 GHz and how they are used in operational scenarios under a variety of conditions. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of not only antenna system performance in a specific platform but also how performance may vary when installed under different geometric conditions on the same platform and or performance on other platforms. The incumbent must also be knowledgeable of general interoperability requirements and be able to identify most favorable antenna locations to minimize interference between aircraft installed systems.
- Knowledge and skill to apply new developments or experimental theory to problems or situations not covered by accepted or conventional techniques.
- Knowledge and understanding of government acquisition and contract policies, rules, and regulations. The incumbent must show skill in forecasting previously unforeseen requirements, interrelationships, and military effects of systems. Skill is required in formulating, directing, interpreting, and applying test planning, policy, and strategy to ensure scientific validity, adequacy, and efficiency of ground and flight test projects.
