Description:

You will serve as a NON-NUCLEAR CONTINUING TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR in the Preservation Shop (Code 970), Production Resources Department manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience clearly and effectively articulating, presenting, and promoting varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience delivering clear and persuasive oral and written presentations.
  • Experience effectively listening and clarifying documented information as needed.
  • Experience developing the competencies of others, enabling them to perform and contribute to the organization.
  • Experience creating a learning environment that offers ongoing feedback and opportunities for growth through both formal and informal methods.
  • Experience procuring, storing and using instructional materials and textbooks, audio-visual aids, training devices, and laboratory equipment
  • Experience conducting audits of shop trade theory/ core tasks records and qualification records for conformance with established guidelines.
  • Experience assisting supervisors, superintendents, Subject Matter Experts with consultation, and training to support the effective implementation of the Continuing Training and Development Program.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, implementing the daily functioning of the Continuing Training and Development Program in regards to quality and timeliness.
