This position is part of the Agency Human Capital, Government Publishing Office in Washington, DC.

Requirements:

To qualify for the Supervisory Human Capital Specialist (Benefits Officer), PG-0201-14, you must meet the following requirements:

Specialized Experience:
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the PG-13 grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, which includes:
  • Leading a team while overseeing all aspects of civilian retirement and benefits services, including Retirement and Work Life Programs, Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), and Workers' Compensation.
  • Providing technical guidance on federal civilian benefits by reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting regulations, directives, and policies to effectively manage daily operations and ensure compliance.
  • Organizing and conducting various benefits related training events, and/or briefings for agency employees.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
