Description:

About the Position: Serves under the supervision of the Division Chief, Training Management Division, Training Management Office who relies on the incumbent to independently plan and coordinate the work; resolve conflicts; participates fully with the Division Chief in the direction of the activities of the Division and to keep the Division Chief advised on training management issues related to the mission and operations of Division and their implications.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction such as experience in planning and coordinating training course programs and activities, interpreting directives and other broad guidance to assure conformance with program requirements, generate program guidelines, internal procedures and progressive ideas/concepts for application in resolving training and managerial problems, evaluate training programs/activities to assess program performance and accomplishments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
