Description:

You will serve as a PRODUCTION SCHEDULER in the Project Support Team (TRF-305), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Requirements:

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience applying a comprehensive knowledge of submarine maintenance operations to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks.

  • Experience demonstrating a detailed and specific understanding of all aspects of trade operations in the context of submarine systems and equipment.

  • Experience providing sequence, scheduling, and testing requirements in the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of equipment and systems for hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E), electronic, and preservation services.

  • Experience applying expertise in temporary services, paint and preservation, calibration, and procedures for the Command and Control System (CCS) and Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES).

  • Experience performing work that involves knowledge of software principles and methods for managed programs, as well as system development processes relevant to those programs.

  • Experience adhering to technical documentation procedures to actively contribute to testing and implementing software for less complex programs.

  • Experience applying advanced techniques using the full Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, Visual Basic, and other programming/data management applications to develop solutions in project management, data management, reporting, and presentations.
