In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:*Experience utilizing specific areas of optical and/or radio astronomy, astrophysics, time scales, numerical analysis, statistics, and computational techniques.
*Experience analyzing instrumentation, observing, and data processing techniques required for determination of fundamental positions, and motions and distances of selected celestial objects as appropriate for the Division.
*Experience overseeing the technical aspects of the Division's mission, making technical contributions to existing projects to participate in the development of new projects and programs, and serving as an authoritative advisor on technical matters.
*Experience supervising subordinate staff in the Division.
*Experience communicating clearly orally and in writing in order to give the many presentations and reports required of this position.
